Our Society Culture || Society Issues || 10 Issues We Have To Address In The Next Ten Years:

    Introduction:

When I received the offer from a well-known and respected journal to start blogging for them I promised them I would cover the most controversial social and technological issues of the moment. This week we are addressing an issue that dominates our lives more than any other and will continue to do so in the next ten years.

The future is what we all want to see and know.Everybody wants that every coming year should be wonderful, comfortable, and full of joy.In the market mature issues are resolved by the experts earlier but suddenly lots of issues come up and they will be new for the upcoming ten years. So we can say that the next ten years are going to be totally special. But why it is special???We have opportunities, we have threats. And really, experts have no idea about what is going to happen in those next ten years.

There are many unresolved issues in the world today, especially in the United States. Some of them are benefiting the American people while others are harmful to our future generations.

We live in a world where there are many problems at the same time.A lot of the time, these problems that we have nowadays are coming from different places. It's getting more and more difficult for us to solve this kind of issue because most of these issues we have at the moment came from different places.

What do you think the state of the world would be like in a decade?

What do you feel is going to happen to humankind, our problems, and our development as a civilization?

Is there anything we can do to improve things or do we have to let the flow of history take its course?

How are we making life on earth so fragile and prone to destruction by our very own hands?

Earth-shattering technologies are moving the planet forward in ways only science fiction could have predicted a hundred years ago. These advances are transforming both the way we live and the world around us.However, these changes also pose critical challenges, especially as they affect our society, culture, and value system. This is not merely an academic exercise;this is a challenge we are going to have to face ourselves in our own lives.

Five years from now, most of us won't remember what it's like to live in a world where, unless we were stranded in the woods or at the top of a mountain without cellphone service, connected devices such as computers, tablets, and smartphones constantly feed data to and drain energy from the power grid.

10 Issues We Have To Address In The Next Ten Years:

Climate change, population growth, and aging societies are just some of the issues we have to address over the next ten years.

What does the future hold for humankind? Will we solve our environmental challenges? Will technology help us and not destroy us?Will we get to Mars and back?

In his new book The Future is Faster Than You Think:How Converging Technologies Are Transforming Business, Industries, and Our Lives, futurist Peter H. Diamandis addresses these subjects and many more.

We are living in a time of unprecedented change.Never before have we had to think so far ahead, plan for so many unknowns, or to make so many momentous decisions about our future.

Our planet is under huge pressure from environmental degradation and climate change, which has been accelerated by population growth and the increasing demands of our lifestyles. At the same time, these same pressures are leading to changes in the way we live especially the way we work.

The rise of the gig economy, AI,and automation means we need to rethink how education prepares people for work, and how they can change careers throughout their working lives. We need new solutions to old problems:how do we provide access to healthcare across borders? How do we protect financial assets when entire industries become digital? How do we preserve personal data and privacy when it becomes an asset? And how can we guarantee security when we live in an increasingly borderless digital world?

The world is changing faster than ever. While some of these changes are exciting, there are others that are deeply concerning and need to be addressed. Here are 10 issues we have to address in the next ten years:

    1. Plastic pollution

    2. Climate change

    3. Population aging

    4. Poverty and inequality

    5. Water scarcity

    6. End of cheap energy

    7. Chemical imbalance in the environment

    8. Loss of genetic diversity (biodiversity)

    9. Overuse of antibiotics and other drugs

    10. Stress

In this series, we will look at 10 issues that will help shape the next ten years for better or for worse. The first five are addressed below and focus on issues of employment, education, and business innovation. The second five will address bigger questions around culture and sustainability as well as looking at how technology can help us tackle them.

The first five years of this decade will be crucial for shaping our collective future.By 2015, the international community will have agreed on a new set of global goals to replace the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and on a new set of climate change targets.By 2020, key decisions regarding how to finance global public goods like development, food security, and climate change mitigation will need to be taken.

The world is changing too fast. The global economy is in disarray and there are many issues we have to address in the next ten years.

    1. Pollution

The impact of pollution on our lives is becoming more and more serious.Every year, thousands of people die from air pollution. Especially in big cities, there are a lot of harmful emissions from vehicles and factories that can cause serious health problems.

    2. Crime

With the development of society, crime rates are increasing dramatically.A lot of crimes such as robbery, theft, and murder have taken place every day.The criminals have become more brutal than ever before.Governments should take measures to fight against these crimes, especially drug trafficking and terrorism.

    3. Unemployment

Unemployment is one of the biggest problems among young people nowadays;they cannot find jobs after graduation or are fired because of economic crises or restructuring policies. This problem becomes more and more serious in some countries like Spain, and Greece. As a result, they cannot earn money to support their life;they even become homeless or commit suicide because they lose hope for everything in life.

These milestones are important because they represent the only opportunities before 2020 to rebuild and strengthen global governance systems with the aim of creating a more sustainable future for all.

The first set of MDGs was agreed upon in 2000 and focused on improving human development by reducing extreme poverty, hunger, and child and maternal mortality as well as ensuring universal access to education, gender equality, and environmental sustainability.

Although some progress was made in fighting poverty and disease, these gains are being threatened by rising food prices and climate change impacts which threaten to reverse recent gains towards achieving MDG1 (eradicate extreme poverty and hunger).

1). Humanitarian crises in the world

    2). Universal health coverage

    3). Climate change

    4). Children and young people

    5). Sustainable food systems

    6). Migration

7). Environmental degradation and biodiversity loss

    8). International trade,finance,taxation,and debt

    9). Global governance and multilateralism

    10). Financing for development

Is pollution caused by the heavy use of cars a global problem?Should smoking be banned in public places?Do we need to address any of these issues?I would say yes.Every country worldwide is faced with the same issues and needs to try out new ways of addressing the problems they cause.

With predictions of declining household income(especially in the developed nations)due to innovations threatening the traditional workforce and robots being brought in to fill their roles,we've reached a breaking point in the way our lives are structured. The growing affordability of robots needing only basic food and shelter, paired with government demands to reduce wages out of fear that the economy won't be able to support higher incomes means that many people will be forced out of work(and subsequently, risk losing their homes) as there's just not enough work left for everyone. This is already being observed in some modern countries such as Japan and Germany where companies like Amazon have been experimenting with entirely automated warehouses for several years now. It's only a matter of time before companies like Amazon will be fully automating their warehouses nationwide.I think we need to start considering these issues before it's too late.

In the end, predicting our future isn't as difficult as it seems especially if we take stock of our present. When we know what we have now, and pay attention to how trends are developing,we can be at least some of the way towards solving our problems. And whether you're an entrepreneur, a parent, a concerned citizen, or all three, you should be doing your part for the good of our world.
